Dear colleagues,
At its General assembly in late 2011 UNESCO approved the official two-year
calendar of cultural events in which Paisii’s
Slavo-Bulgarian History (1762)
came to
find its due place. Paisii’s contribution to world culture is to be marked in all
countries members of UNESCO.
This year’s annual research-in-progress forum at the
Paisii Hilendarski
University of Plovdiv is dedicated to the 250
th
anniversary of Paisii’s
Slavo-Bulgarian
History (1762)
. Plovdiv University invites you to take part in celebrating its patron.
English Department Conference Theme:
"INTELLECTUAL THRESHOLDS:
LINGUISTICS, CULTURAL STUDIES, LITERARY STUDIES - BEFORE AND NOW"
The English Department welcomes a wide range of papers in the fields of
cultural and literary studies, linguistics, as well as methods of teaching language and
literature.
Expenses (accommodation and living) should be covered by participants themselves.
Conference fee:
40 BGN.
The conference fee includes participation & subsequent
publication.
Deadline
for submitting abstracts (a maximum of 200 words) and
registration/accommodation/ forms:
